Description
LED bulb raw materials consist of several key components that work together to produce efficient and long-lasting lighting. The core element is the LED chip, usually made from semiconductor materials like gallium arsenide or gallium nitride, which emits light when an electric current passes through it. These chips are mounted on a metal-core printed circuit board (MCPCB) to manage heat effectively. A driver circuit is another crucial part, responsible for converting alternating current (AC) from the power source into direct current (DC) suitable for the LED chip. The driver ensures consistent power supply and protects the chip from voltage fluctuations.
In addition to the core electrical components, physical elements are also important. The housing or casing, often made from aluminum or thermoplastic, provides structural integrity and helps with heat dissipation. The diffuser—typically made of polycarbonate or acrylic—ensures even light distribution and reduces glare. Other materials include soldering paste, capacitors, resistors, wire connectors, and thermal interface materials. All these raw materials must meet precise quality standards to ensure the final LED bulb is durable, energy-efficient, and safe to use.
